Individuals with a deep appreciation for the quality of craftsmanship that defined earlier eras, from intricate carvings to the durability of materials chosen. They prefer the character of an authentic, aged piece of history over the sterile, cookie-cutter appeal of modern construction.

OLD HOUSE ADDICTS

LOVE THE STORY.

While others see rot, ruin, and insurmountable disrepair, an old house addict sees potential and possibility. They are not intimidated by the sagging floors or outdated systems but instead are inspired by the home’s history and potential for restoration. They are fascinated by the home’s past and often feel a sense of responsibility to be a “caretaker” of the history within its walls. They will research the previous owners, the home’s original design, and its place in the neighborhood’s history. An old house addict is a history buff at heart.

HELLO THERE!

DROP BY AND SAY HI!

An “old house addict” is a person with an intense and unyielding passion for historic homes, often to the point of obsession. This is not a clinical addiction but a colloquial term to describe their deep, often all-consuming, involvement with old houses. They are captivated by the character, craftsmanship, and history of these properties and are driven to rescue and restore them, no matter the cost in time, money, or effort.
